HB Rentals has delivered four modules to provide added capacity for staff carrying out upgrade and commissioning work on the CKQ, CKR and CKP production and wellhead platforms.

The cabins, which meet the latest SOLAS and IMO regulations and are fully A60 fire rated were loaded out convoy-style from HB Rentals’ yard at Pandan Loop, Singapore and transported to Malaysia before being shipped by boat to the platforms.

CarigaliHess has taken the units on a four-month minimum contract worth around GBP £85,000 (USD$170,000), with options to extend.

Internal refitting work was carried out to convert two of the accommodation modules to offices at the Singapore base. A pair of welfare cabins will provide a location for workers to rest and take a break, and are fitted with seating and a refreshment area.

"We are delighted to be working with Carigali again, supporting them in what is an important upgrade programme on the Cakerawala platforms," said John Aw, HB’s Regional Sales Manager in Singapore.

"We were able to turn the modules around from our stock base in Singapore, allowing us to help Carigali meet a very tight offshore shutdown schedule."
