ConocoPhillips recently contracted HB Rentals to build a central base camp for workers from multiple drilling sites in northwestern Colorado. The temporary accommodations camp, located in rural Rio Blanco County, will be designed to house 200 people initially with a contingency to expand its capacity to 400 people. ConocoPhillips needed a solution to consolidate several decentralized camps without facilities into a larger camp that includes a galley, commissary, medical facilities and recreational space. The camp will take three months to complete and will be open in November 2007. HB Rentals is providing all buildings – more than 50 units in all – and PSN will provide camp management.
